APN Tips & Tricks

If the app couldn't find the right configuration for your SIM, please configure the settings manually or contact your carrier for the right settings. Don't worry, most carriers provide the right information about their APN settings on their website. A simple Google search for "APN Settings [name of your network provider]" usually really helps.

Please note:

  • Streaming Nubo footage and live view over 4G can consume a lot of (mobile) data
  • Data usage may vary based on video (quality) settings, network conditions, and personal usage
  • Mobile data charges will be applied by your own network provider
  • Eagle Eye NuboCam can not be held responsible for the mobile data (over)usage of your own SIM card
  • Eagle Eye Networks cannot support performance on connectivity for third party SIM cards. Eagle Eye Networks didn't test all available third party SIM options, so we cannot guarantee performance for every option available on the market.

How much power does the Eagle Eye NuboCam consume?

Eagle Eye NuboCam's power consumption is 1.2A on average usage when the camera is powered on, connected to either 4G or Wi-Fi and is continuously checking motion.

Actual power usage depends on factors like light (day/night mode), storage location (cloud only or cloud and SD card), 4G/Wi-Fi coverage (less coverage means more power), the amount of motion the camera detects (more motion, more power) and the complexity of the image being captured (the more detail, the more power). So a garage with the lights turned on and minor movements take a lot less power than a tree with leaves (lots of detail) or a street in the night with a lot of moving objects.

Does night vision (IR) and motion detection (PIR) work when Eagle Eye NuboCam is behind a window?

Motion detection won’t work through windows. The PIR sensor works with heat detection; this is not possible through windows. Place your Eagle Eye NuboCam outside the window for optimal image quality.

IR won’t work through windows. The IR sensor reflects in the window, which causes Eagle Eye NuboCam to get blinded. Please place your Eagle Eye NuboCam outside the window for optimal image quality
